This lightning talk will explore how institutional communication strategies have been key to the success of Brasil Participativo. It will show how communication efforts mobilized broad audiences, targeted specific groups, and built a recurring participation base. The goal is to demonstrate that a consistent, customized, and cross-channel communication strategy reduces costs, increases impact, and strengthens civic culture.

A 10-minute lightning talk walking through the outreach approach, use of channels like Instagram, partnerships with civil society, and examples of how communication supported the full participation cycle. The session will end with key recommendations and a Q&A.

Public servants, platform managers, and communication teams working on civic tech or participation. Some familiarity with platforms like Decidim is helpful, but not required.
