This workshop explores how choose your own adventure storytelling + theater can activate democratic participation. Using a use case from Platoniq's work in legislative theater in the UK and Spain participants collectively make decisions to change the story's outcome to lead to proposals for policy change and community building.

Structure and Format:

  • quick intro to the activity and methods of theatre of the oppressed

  • interactive story with collective decisions mixing decidim and dramaturgy

  • post discussions on: the possibilities of building community through policy proposal making, creating engaging democracies without sacrificing evidence based poilicy proposals, themes proposed by the audience

  • wrap-up reflection
