The Edit-a-thon Decidim wants to be an activity organized by the Community of Decidim to understand how Wikipedia works, while creating articles related to Decidim en Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

An initiative is a proposal that can be promoted by anyone on their own initiative (independently of other channels or participation spaces) through the collection of (digital) signatures for the organization to carry out a specific action (modify a regulation, initiate a project, change the name of a department or a street, etc.).
The promoters of an initiative can define its objectives, gather support, debate, disseminate it and define meeting points where signatures can be collected from the attendees or debates open to other participants.
Examples: An initiative can collect signatures to convene a consultation among all the people of an organization, or to create or convene an assembly, or to initiate a process of budget increase for a territory or area of the organization. During the process of collecting signatures, more people can add to this demand and carry it forward in the organization.

Hi @andres. I am in contact with @gmarpons to reorient the activity.
I haven't updated the information because I haven't confirmed it. But in principle, this activity would be proposed within the framework of the Decidim's Day that we are preparing in Girona in the afternoon. We are preparing the activity in coordination with Amical Wikimedia. So, we are following their instructions. The issue, it would not be to focus on a Decidim article, but rather from technopolitical sovereignty (in fact, Decidim doesn't have enough base documentation to make the article as they have been targeted from Amical Wikimedia). The intention, then, would be to generate documentation about the topic I mentioned, for, in the future, someone could make a Decidim article.
Among others, @gmarpons commented that in the fall, there will be a PhD in participation by working with the UOC and we could offer a space in this Viquimarató. (2/3)

Title: Viquimarató: Give voice to the technopolitical sovereignty.

Objective: To hold seminars on participatory democracy and technological sovereignty, so that generic articles can be created on a topic that is underrepresented in the encyclopaedia in the context of Viquipèdia.

Ok, I didn't have that info that there are other actors on this task besides us that might have a conflict of interest. If there are other actors I'm on favour: Amical Wikimedia, UOC, University of Girona, etc.
