Error related to special characters to user names

Accepted

We have had two problems related to special characters:

-A user who has a name and signs of parentheses, when trying to change the locale can not.
-When you invite the platform administrator from the system, if the name contains special characters, you can not accept the invitation.

The problem may come from the gem device and the behavior with the special characters

There is more problems related to special characters, especially using "/" or "//" in user names can break UI views for other users as well. Some say they can also be problematic from the view point of data security. Would it be easiest and safest just to prevent using special characters in user names?
