Static content in public/uploads folder could be moved to the DB?

This of course is a just a proposal. I see that static content is placed on public/uploads folder, so for every new deploy that folder need to be copied from the last release tree to the new release's public folder with all the symbolic links. Could be a good idea for the future releases placing those files to the DB?
