User groups cannot adjust proposals

Avatar: Lars Kaiser Lars Kaiser

Rejected

When I submit a proposal in the name of a user group, I cannot edit the proposal when I have the "Allow editing proposals for an infinite amount of time"-setting enabled. It does however work when I submit a proposal as my own user (as to be expected ;-) ). This has nothing to do with proposal amendments.

Can anyone reproduce this? I have attached an image of what is displayed of the submitted proposal by a user group.

Alternatively, this is due the fact that the status of the idea has already been changed and editing is therefor block for users AND user groups. Does anybody know anything more?

Hi Lars, I think this is the normal behaviour because being able to edit a proposal after it has been evaluated would mean that after the admins have accepted it, the user could completely change its content, and that would be very problematic. As it is for editing a proposal after it received supports, comments or endorsements.

IMO, the "Allow editing proposals for an infinite amount of time" setting shouldn't change this behaviour. I think it was made to avoid filling the field with 99999999 minutes to allow an extended editing time.

Hi!

Just to be clear, there are two cases as far as I understand:

Case A
As a participant with a user group, I create a proposal in a process with setting "Allow editing proposals for an infinite amount of time"
I can edit the proposal
Case B
As a participant with a user group, I create a proposal in a process with setting "Allow editing proposals for an infinite amount of time"
This proposal is answered by an administrator
I can't edit the proposal

In both cases, it works as intended. The reasoning for the Case B is as @Pops mentioned, that a participant could create a proposal, the proposal gets accepted, and then I change the proposal to something else that's not related to the original proposal.
