Un proceso participativo es una secuencia de actividades participativas (p.e. primero rellenar una encuesta, luego realizar propuestas, debatirlas en encuentros presenciales o virtuales, y finalmente priorizarlas) con el objetivo de definir y tomar una decisión sobre un tema específico.
Ejemplos de procesos participativos son: un proceso de elección de los miembros de un comité (donde primero se presentan unas candidaturas, luego se debate y finalmente se elige una candidatura), presupuestos participativos (donde se realizan propuestas, se valoran económicamente y se vota con el dinero disponible) , un proceso de planificación estratégica, la redacción colaborativa de un reglamento o norma, el diseño de un espacio urbano o la producción de un plan de políticas públicas.

Election of new members of the Committee

This process is for the election of at least three new members of the Coordination Committee.
As stated in Article 18 of the Statutes of the Decidim Association, "the Committee will be partially renewed every two years. In the first shift, the secretarial and treasury offices and half of the vocalies will be renewed, and in the second shift, the rest." As two members have resigned from their Committee duties, and one member will pass to become the Director for the Technical Office for the Association, at least 3 posts need to be elected.

Article 24 establishes that this procedure must be done as a participatory process articulated in different phases that will culminate with the election of the new positions within the new Coordination Committee.
The aim of this process is therefore to initiate a participatory process so that members can exercise their right to be candidates and/or voters for the future Coordination Committee. This process has been designed by the current Coordination Committee with the aim of guaranteeing the correct functioning and maximum transparency and participation at all times. The final result of this process is the formation of a new Coordination Committee that will take office for the next few years. Only members can elect or be elected to representative bodies such as this one.
