Changing domain name

Avatar: John Willson John Willson

We're considering changing our domain name and are wondering about the process as there are a lot of URLs that use the full (old) domain name.

Has anyone done this? Are there any tricks we should know to make it easier?

This fingerprint is calculated using a SHA256 hashing algorithm. In order to replicate it yourself, you can use an MD5 calculator online and copy-paste the source data.

That shouldn't be a problem as long as you keep the old dns pointing to the new domain.
Just make sure to configure the "alternate domains" names with the old domain, this way requests to the old domain will be redirected to the new one. Also take into account SSL for the old domain, if it's broken it won't redirect (due browsers restrictions).
