Changes at "Cultural Wars: cyber-sorority and new forms of fascism"

 Internet ha permès que aquells que tenien menys representació en els mitjans convencionals aconsegueixin fer arribar el seu missatge a través d’altres canals, ajudant a que les sense veu puguin expressar-se per si mateixes i sentir que no estan soles en el món. Hem vist el sorgiment de xarxes de suport i comunicació a nivell mundial que configuren un escenari ple de possibilitats per al canvi: d’Indymeia a les recents mobilitzacions pel clima, passant per les Vagues Feministes o el 15M.

D’altra banda, alguns llocs del ciberespai s’han convertit en coves hostils i reaccionàries. Sota les premises del tot s’hi val, el trolleig i el for the lols, el feixisme troba noves formes d’existir i guanyar adhesions. Espais ultra-masculinitzats i plens d’odi com ara 4Chan, incel.com o Forocoches, serveixen a identitats feries que, davant l’adveniment d’altres tipus de representació, s’han reagrupat i autoafirmat, trobant on bolcar un missatge que semblava no tenir cabuda en el mainstream.

Internet ha abierto la posibilidad de que quienes tenían menos representación en medios convencionales consigan hacer llegar su mensaje por medio de otros canales, ayudando a que las sin voz puedan expresarse por si mismas y sentir que no están solas en el mundo. Han surgido redes de apoyo y comunicación a nivel mundial que configuran un escenario lleno de posibilidades para el cambio: de Indymedia a las recientes movilizaciones por el clima, pasando por las Huelgas Feministas o el 15M.

Por otra parte, algunos lugares del ciberespacio se han convertido en cuevas hostiles y reaccionarias. Bajo las premisas del todo vale, el trolleo y for the lols, el fascismo encuentra nuevas formas de existir y ganar adhesiones. Espacios ultramasculinizados y llenos de odio como 4Chan, incel.com, o Forocoches, sirven a identidades heridas que, ante el avance de otros tipos de representación, se han reagrupado y autoafirmado, encontrando donde volcar un mensaje que parecía no tener cabida en lo mainstream.

On the other hand, some places in the cyberspace have become hostile and reactionary caves. Under the premises of everything goes, trolling and for the lols, fascism finds new ways of existing and gaining adepts. Over masculized and hateful spaces such as 4Chan, incel.com, or Forocoches, serve wounded identities that, faced with the rise of other types of representations have regrouped and self-affirmed, finding a place to pour a message that seemed to have no place in the mainstream.
