As an admin, what 3 things would you improve in the Decidim administration section at the UX level?

Official proposal

After working these last few months on the redesign of the public part of Decidim, now it's time for the administration dashboard.

To start, we ask you to name 3 points (flows, components, sections, interactions…) to improve.

With the collected feedback we’ll work in a participatory workshop at Decidim Fest '22 to ground ideas and focus on the main improvements

\1. Too much information in one view
Many views in the admin panel are cluttered with information. The user should only see the very relevant information that they are interested in at any given time.

\2. Navigational structure
To find to the correct place in the admin panel is many times impossible. It should be thought how the admins can find easily what they use the most. There may be differences in this between different users.

\3. Where to find the relevant action?
Take the components listing for instance, or any other listing that has any icon links. Most of the times the admin wants to either manage the component (e.g. see proposals listing) or change the component settings (e.g. change if proposal submission is enabled or not). Some of the actions are not something that the admin needs every time, such as component permissions, deleting the component, sharing the component, etc.

Also to note that this point also has variation depending on what the admin is doing at that time. When setting up the process, the publish/unpublish may be one of the most important buttons but when the process is running, e.g. the "unpublish" button becomes quite dangerous and something that is not needed every day.
