Context

The whole point of Decidim is that decision-making should not depend on authoritarian organisations. GAFAM/AAAMM [1] is the opposite of Decidim.

On the issue of software forges, the opening comment at [4] from 2022 is a good start, though the discussion is a bit out of date.

A good community-based description of why a migration off MS/GH is needed ethically and practically is the Software Freedom Conservancy GiveUpGitHub page [11].

A key element of developing federated software forges is ForgeFed [12].
