Propose new functionalities for Decidim software
#DecidimRoadmap Designing Decidim together
Improce content discoverability (SEO)
For SEO purposes it would be important for the pages to have a meta description. I would see SEO important feature since we want people to be able to discover the content easily.
- For the content pages this should be a field that users can fill in.
- For processes this should be customizable per tab (component)
- For process home page this should be the short description

I very much like the idea. I only have one problem, when you say: "For the content pages this should be a field that users can fill in" should we just not take the title of the content or something? it is otherwise against usability and to heavy a load for participant to fill yet another field. Don't you think?
I mean the static pages that the admin users are creating, not e.g. proposals.
For static content pages, this should be a field that the admin can define.

Hi @carol, one of our client could be interested in financing this feature, do you think it could be implemented in the core? Thanks!
Hi @Pops, I think @andres have some feedback regarding this.
Sorry for the delay answering this!
-1 in allowing the customization by admins in Decidim by default.
How I see it is that we should always use the contents that we already have, like using the body of a proposal or the description of a meeting. In this same page for instance (proposal page) we're setting the meta[property="og:description"] but we're not setting the meta[name="description"]
Allowing admins to set this in page by page basis is too much for me. If it's necessary a new API for this, so it's easy to implement in a module, then I'm open to discussing it.
