Troubleshooting-Can't report proposals to moderator
I understand that the process to delete official proposals is to moderate them (i.e. report them and hide them).
However, in our demo configuration, there aren't any red flags showing up to allow us to report proposals.
All of the other moderation functionality appears to be intact (i.e. we can define moderators and there is the moderation tab), and it is possible to report in other modules (e.g. meetings).
Any suggestions as to how we can reenable reporting proposals?

Hi John!
It seems that you used the "Participatory text" config flag when configuring your Proposal component.
It's a particular use of this component, made to edit a text collectively, which seems to be your use case.
The reason you can't report those proposals is precisely because it's a participatory text (official proposals are reportable when this option is not activated).
To give you some quick hacks:
- You want to delete one or all the proposals: unpublish the component and create a new one.
Before publishing your draft, make sure all the proposals are ok. If not, delete your draft, modify your file and import it again.
- You want to add a proposal: use the split proposals feature.
I totally agree that once the participatory text has been published, it is quite hard to edit it.
I think it would be a really good improvement to be able to report proposals of participatory texts, in order to help admins use this interesting feature.
I hope I have answered your questions

This helps a lot, thanks so much.
We'll try the hacks today and I'll come back here if I have any more questions.
Actually, we noticed in the config options that etherpad integration is an option. Is that there for legacy integrations, or is it recommended for new installations that are trying to include participatory editing?
Hi John. Yes, it's possible. I do suggest to follow the instructions to integrate: https://docs.decidim.org/en/services/etherpad/ (also contains the feature description). In platoniq, we use a lot etherpad in decidim. also for online academic workshops for example :)
