Carl T. Bergstrom es catedrático de biología en la Universidad de Washington y co-autor del libro Calling Bullshit, el cual aborda las técnicas modernas de desinformación a través de narrativas con datos. La detección de este tipo de bulos es especialmente compleja ya que adquieren el lenguaje de las matemáticas, la ciencia y la estadística.
