Canvis a "Using Decidim in rebuilding a town after a natural disaster"

Description:
A massive landslide completely obliterated the town of Blatten in the Lötschental Valley in Switzerland at the end of May 2025. The Swiss planning office Planval was mandated to co-design the future of the vally in a participatory process. The Decidim partners Urban Equipe and Octree where asked to aid this process with a digital platform and have done so by donating a Voca.City instance. This presentation focuses on key insights from that process.

Remark: As this process has only been initiated recently and is still being launched, I can't really say much more yet (or even, if the use of Decidim will be a success or not). I might need to adjust the topic when Decidim Fest comes closer.
