Decidim Day Girona
#CommonPolitics Decidim Day for the reflection of participatory democracy and technology
Program
Welcome to the Conference
Cities are immersed in profound social and technological transformations and in recent years, there have been areas of innovation in which technological and social experimentation are closely related. In this context we find different models in dispute about how to understand and build both technology and society. There is not yet a single accepted definition of open government, although there are many features in the evolving definitions. The three main challenges

- Public commitment: That the public can influence the functioning of their government through participation in governmental political processes and in service delivery
- Accountability: That the public may hold the government to account for its policy and the performance of the service.

The City Council of Mieres, in the context of the pilot test of the Diputació de Girona, has promoted civic technology to achieve greater legitimacy and participation of its policies. In this experience, we will see how they have done it and are doing it possible.
This initiative aims to introduce the young people of the PFI to the labor market. It has been opened to Decidim the election of the name of the new cooperative for young people being created in Arbúcies.
