Add filters option on the accountability component
Hi everyone!
A client is asking for an enhancement of the accountability component, as it present some usability issues.
They would like to add filtering options on the results index in the FO :
- enable areas as filters
- enable categories as filters
- enable subcategories as filters
- enable timeline entry as filter
- enable statuses as filter
After discussing the issue with our tech team, we learned that it would be really hard to dev, so we'd love to know your insights.
In order to avoid erasing the current vizualisation, it might be interesting to create a new display option with those filters.

Thank you very much for the proposal @Pops! Indeed, the Accountability component has room for improvement in terms of usability. Currently, navigation is highly conditioned by categories and subcategories. Adding filters can help a lot to improve the user experience, but we think it is worth thinking a little more about user stories for accountability and then prioritizing. Is it okay if Product makes a broader proposal for improvement of the component and then we see which of the stories you want to contribute?

Hi @carol, it's really nice to improve this component. We started to work in a project with public funds in which accountability is the "tool of progress project" and we will try to generate a PDF to justify that we have achieved the objectives proposed with the grant. I imagine a user story in which some association/group of citizens/academics can use Decidim in order to generate a project memory. Indeed, it'll be useful for city councils in order to generate the participatory memory process :-)
