Propose new functionalities for Decidim software
#DecidimRoadmap Designing Decidim together
Challenges module
We are planning to create a new module for Decidim in order to address the possibility of creating challenges in the Decidim platform.
We have created a functional description that you can find at the documents tab. The aim of this module would be to address challenges such as hackatons or other types of challenges to the companies and citizens in order to solve a given problem. T
An aproximation of the solution has been tried within the Hackovid project: https://hackovid.cat/ but the idea is to make it an stardard module for the Decidim community with a wider set of functionalities.
We hope that you find interest in this proposal and we challenge you all to improve this proposal

As an attachment to the proposal, we are thinking also to create a global scoreboard engine with visualization and search features, etc.... That will allow a single portal where you will be able to access any of the challenges that are currently active in any Decidim installation. This could be done by this engine to get the data from the different installations by using the API graph or by each portal by publishing certain information to an Opendata portal.
In the case of publishing the data to an Opendata portal, some fields could be created in order to tell the system which is the site of the Opendata portal and needed credentials (API keys, ...) to publish automatically the data.
In any case, anyone, from public sector to private, could make use of this data to create other portals or any other cases that we may not be thinking now, but that’s why Opendata is here ;-)
