Monthly Devs & Implementers call · April
-
Online
-
18:00 PM - 19:00 PM CEST
Are you interested in contributing to Decidim, or are you stuck in the installation process and need some help?
This year, the Decidim maintainers team and the Association are launching a monthly call for Developers and Implementers. You're more than welcome to join—it's a great opportunity to connect, collaborate, and support each other.
The calls will take place on the last Thursday of each month at 18:00 CET.
We'll start with three sessions to test the format and improve it based on feedback. The goal is to establish a regular monthly online meeting to assist both contributors and those looking to implement Decidim.
Meetings from the previous meeting that took place in March, can be found here: Monthly Devs & Implementers call · March

WhatsApp Bot
If we want to integrate with WhatsApp, we need to do it through it partners, and it has a price. Vendors care like Twillio.
Some use cases:

Providers:
Access to the API is priced based on the market and the type, such as Service, Authentication, Utility and Marketing.
Models change depending on your supplier.
We mention that this could be something that even Meta would be interested in paying for this development, https://www.facebook.com/community/fund/
Blog
Currently we don’t have a way of having a Blog for a general installation, it’d be great to have something native. For instance in Metadecidim we have the “News” process hack that links to this Process with only this component:

Themes
It was asked if we have any plan about improving the customization (of HTML and CSS) as currently it is difficult to keep up to date an instance like https://decidim.contagem.mg.gov.br/

Performance for the Statistics Content Block
It was mentioned that we could have a problem with the Statistics CB, as in Brasil Participativo they mentioned that there was an expensive query hitting the Database here. We should check it out:
