WORKSHOP: Participation Bodies (neighborhood councils, districts plenaries, etc.)

Introduction: The participation bodies (area, city, neighbourhood and sectorial councils) have the function of consulting and advising on the design of certain public policies.

Challenges: How are stable spaces configured within the platform for the participation bodies? What characteristics should they have? How do we relate the bodies to the participatory processes? How should the inclusion of points or questions in the agenda of a body be implemented in the platform? Should all the meetings of the bodies appear on the platform together with the topics they deal with and should the minutes and videos of the meeting be posted? How should a citizen be able to interact with these bodies and how should the activity of the municipal plenary be reflected in the platform?

Examples: Decidim.barcelona should include a section of participation bodies, organised by territory and area. This section should list the bodies and their meeting dates together with the agenda, minutes, documents presented and treaties, etc. Any person or association should be able to ask a question or make a proposal to a participatory body by gathering X support.
