One of the navigations that we didn't cover yesterday is the navigation through the different resources that a component has. For example, we have the browser (or index) of proposals, from where we can filter and sort them by different options. But when you click on a proposal to see the detail, you always have to go back to continue navigating through them.
Do you know good examples of UI that allow you to navigate through a list and let you see the detail of each item without leaving the list?
(Pinging also some interaction experts such @nadia_nadesan 🙃)
Hi Carol! I have a question about it...is it possible to use modal/popups to manage the issue?
Hi Michele! I was asking myself the same question the other day, the use of popups and modals can be tricky, here's a good article with several references to the most widespread recommendations on their use: https://uxplanet.org/modal-vs-page-a-decision-making-framework-34453e911129
On the other hand, they're generally not recommended for use on mobile devices.
But surely other designers in the community could make a good case for the pros and cons of using them for browsing proposals.
