Designing Decidim together
In many participation processes that I deal with, it could be really useful to have a nice and user friendly media gallery space, to share in a single place images and videos realated to a process. Since we don't have this tool usually we adapt different components: example
The "visual empowerment", especially today, it's very useful to create engagement into the citizens, and many times it needs to link to social networks to share with participants rich media galleries. Think about processes where the citizens are involved to retrain a space or a whole neighborhood: it's really important to provide a visual documentation of the environment at the starting point.
Decidim should provide its own Media gallery component, with the necessary features to organize in a single page pictures and videos in a user friendly way: for example grid display, slideshow tool, search bar.

@product could you evaluate this proposal so we know if it could integrate the core after the redesign?
@Pops are you developing this feature in OSP? Could you share the specifications? Where should the gallery appear? In the home of a space? in the general homepage? The proposal describes the idea too generally and does not follow the default template.

Should we create a new metaproposal with all the details?
Hi Simonas! So, this module already fulfills your needs, right? Could you please send us the URL with the code, so we can publish it on https://decidim.org/modules?
On the other hand, from product we see interesting to develop the media gallery as a content block, since it wouldn't be strictly a component (understood as a participation mechanism). From version 0.28 onwards, the layout of the spaces homepages will be done through content blocks, which will provide greater flexibility and customization. And eventually this system could be extended to other parts of the platform. Does it sound interesting to you?
