Add option to include time zones

Avatar: Arthur Smid Arthur Smid

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I noticed the times can be confusing for people joining from multiple different time zones in the U.S. and looked for some way to add a CDT (Central Daylight Time) next to the listed time for the Brigade Congress 2021 events.

Here's a link to the instance of Decidim, this page is one of the day's events for the Code for America Brigade Congress, October 15-17, 2021:
https://cfa.osp.cat/conferences/congress/program/52

The times required this format: dd/mm/yyyy hh:ii

Describe the solution you'd like
I haven't found a way to add the time-zone next to the event times, and I imagine this would be a feature that other people using the software may need.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Another possibility could be a separate entry field specific to time zones.

Additional context
I hope the link to the Decidim instance above will help to clarify the problem. I also uploaded a screenshot of the schedule page.

Does this issue could impact on users private data?
No impact on private data.

Funded by
I imagine this feature is inexpensive, or possible to list on a repo for someone looking to contribute?

We've implemented a very simple solution here

Just adding the timezone next to displayed dates: 01 September 2021 · 19:00 - 21:00 (EDT -04:00)

Thanks for responding, Ivan!

Is that in the Start Time entry field that you were able to add the time zone?

When I tried to enter the time zone there, I clicked the edit button on Schedule, then in the Meetings, clicked again on the edit button for one of the scheduled events, scrolled down to Start Time, and when adding text to the field a calendar popped up. I was able to write the CDT time zone into the field but the calendar feature couldn't recognize it and it zapped out when I clicked away from the entry field.

Not sure how to enter the a time zone there, maybe that was the wrong entry field?

The Add Your Comment feature doesn't appear to allow uploading a screenshot, or I'd upload one of the Start Time field just to help clarify. I hope the words here make sense. Any comments or suggestions about how to add the time zone are much appreciated!
