Designing Decidim together
Template for answer proposal
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
As a platform super-admin, I want to have templates in proposal answering for process administrators and valuators to use.
Describe the solution you'd like
Related to this proposal: Templates for surveys, we will add the possibility to have templates for proposal answers.
See technical specifications: https://github.com/openpoke/decidim/issues/34
See solution: https://github.com/openpoke/decidim/pull/37
Describe alternatives you've considered
We think it makes sense to add this functionality to the templates module, but there may be better ideas!
Additional context
In the template, as super admin I can define:
-Which state does the answer correspond to
-To which participative space does it apply
-Text with the different languages enabled
-I can duplicate the template if needed in another participatory space
As a process administrator and valuator:
-I will be able to use a template associated with my participatory space
-I will be able to edit the template once applied if I need more customization
Does this issue could impact on users private data?

hello @product,
for the redesign process, you indicated that version 0.28 will have the frontend UX/UI. On the backend side, we are not very clear what steps you want to follow. Also do you expect it to be ready for 0.28? If not, we'll ask you to let us include new functionality in the backend. As you know, since last June it is no longer possible to make contributions to the frontend until January (even doubts that we will have the new version in January).
The question would be:
1) Will the backend be in 0.28?
2) If not, and with the expectation that it will take months to release 0.29... can we make new functionalities/fixes in the backend?
Hi @Pokecode, indeed we have a lot of things going on right now, and surely it's not the best time to add features to Decidim. We need to be extra careful during the redesign implementation, if we don't want to complicate even more an already tricky process.
Regarding your questions, here are some quick answers:
* Release 0.28 is unlikely to be ready by January, we're actually shooting for the first quarter of 2023.
* Backend redesign won't be ready for 0.28, It is planned for version 0.29.
We also want to be careful in the coordination with the community, so we're all on the same page and avoid misunderstandings. Therefore, we'll discuss this next week with the maintainers and redesign teams, and then we'll share a detailed update with the plan for next year. Thank you in advance for your understanding :)
amazing! thank you
Hello! A small update, we're wrapping up discussions with the teams involved and updating the guidelines for new contributions during the redesign. Tomorrow we'll publish a post with all the infos.
